PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Deloris Johnson, 28 years old, from Athens, Georgia. Johnson was wanted by the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office in Athens, Georgia. Johnson had violated her probation on Possession of Marijuana and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Johnson had been wanted since June 16, 2008. On this past Tuesday Johnson was stabbed in the back and arm during an incident in Sharpsburg. She was found lying on the sidewalk by firemen returning from extinguishing a kitchen fire around 1:30 a.m. The suspect in this case is Tiffany Pearson, 34, of Lawrenceville. Johnson told police that Pearson was her estranged roommate.

Last evening Sheriff’s Deputies learned that Johnson was wanted in Clarke County Georgia and that they wanted to extradite her. After contacting UPMC Presbyterian Hospital it was learned that Johnson had already been discharged. These deputies then made contact with Sharpsburg Police and learned that Johnson was possibly back at the residence where the stabbing took place earlier this week. Both sheriff’s deputies and Sharpsburg Police went to this residence located in the 1300 block of Main Street and apprehended Johnson without incident. Johnson will be lodged in the Allegheny County Jail until she is extradited to Georgia.
