PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Martin Reddix, 24 years old from McKees Rocks.  Reddix was wanted on two warrants with charges ranging from Criminal Conspiracy Engaging - Criminal Homicide, Criminal Conspiracy Engaging – Aggravated Assault, Criminal Conspiracy Engaging – Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Robbery.  The charges stem from an incident in October 2008 at Becker’s Café in McKees Rocks.

On April 24, 2009, two warrants were issued for Reddix on the named charges.  Shortly thereafter, Reddix was placed on the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office Top 20 “Most Wanted” and Comcast’s On-Demand “Fugitive Files.”

This morning around 09:00 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies gathered information that Reddix was staying in a home within the 300 block of Olivia Street in McKees Rocks.  Sheriff’s Deputies searched the apartment and located Reddix hiding in a closet in a rear bedroom.  He was immediately apprehended without incident and placed into custody.

Reddix was transported to the Allegheny County Jail and is currently being held without bond until such time he is brought before the court to answer to these charges.  In 2010, the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office is making a conscientious effort to exceed last years’ total of eight homicide suspects captured; Reddix is the first of the new year.
