PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Brian Ketterman, 37 years old, from Clairton. In 2007, Ketterman was arrested and later pled guilty to three counts of Indecent Assault Person Less Than 16 years of Age, two counts of Indecent Exposure, Corruption of Minors and Endangering the Welfare of Children. Today, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest for violating the conditions of his probation/parole. Ketterman refused to report to his probation/parole officer as required.
This afternoon, after receiving Ketterman’s bench warrant, deputies began to search for him in the Clairton area. Deputies went to several locations in Clairton, but kept missing him. Eventually, deputies were able to finally locate him after several hours at a residence located in the 3100 block of Miles Avenue in Clairton. When deputies knocked on the door of this location and announced themselves, Ketterman could be heard saying to the owner “don’t answer the door.” The owner of this residence did not accommodate Ketterman’s request and opened the door. Ketterman was apprehended without incident when he was ordered to come down the stairs from the second floor. He has been lodged in the Allegheny County Jail, where he will be held without bond.
